SEO is a method of writing your article, in a way that is possible to be found by the potential reader. for example, if I want to look for a cheap dog colar, I will google cheap dog collar. If I want to look for an article abouut social anxiety I will do the same. Writters need to write 3-4 times these key words, so that they will find your article when they google these key words or synonims.

Yoast is an app that practically teaches you how to do it. Posts written in SEO are brainfriendly for the reader too.

As I said in the article, I avoided SEO oriented articles. And this made me lose time.

I don't agree with it, because all the times I write, it forces me to change some of my sentences, and I hate it.

But, I think, it is the only way to get to the readers that need what I am writing about.
